There is a lot going on in the next few weeks in the Irish Food World - apart from the ones I already told you about:
Waterford Harvest Festival, 11th - 12th September
Supported by Slow Food, this is the event to be. The 'Waterforders' know how to have a successful festival...and I will pay them a visit on Saturday.
Galway Oyster Festival, 24-27th September
Lots of events during the time of the festival - not only around oysters....
Kinsale Gourmet Festival, 09-11th October
The festival will kick off with a cookery demonstration and wine reception at the White Lady Hotel, followed by lots of more events incl. the Mad Hatters Taste of Kinsale on Saturday.
Kilkenny Food Festival, 24-27th October
Highlights includes old fashioned apple juicing, culinary walks etc.
Temple Bar Chocolate Festival, 30th October - 1st November
The largest ever gathering of Irish artisan producers, a chocolate-themed parade etc..... you know now where to find me that weekend :-)
