Taste Of Cork Festival

I have been to the Taste of Dublin last year and thought, isn't it a pity that we don't have the festival in Cork.....and here it is.....Taste of Cork (not to get confused with the Taste of Cork in Brennan's - they named it first)...see below for details
Taste Festivals Ireland is delighted to announce the dates for the Taste of Cork, the new showcase of fantastic local restaurants and the finest food and drink exhibitors of the county. The most glamorous and exciting culinary event of the social and ‘foodie’ calendar comes to the Cork City Gaol from Friday 27th June to Sunday 29th June 2008.Taste of Cork 2008 will add a new exciting dimension to Taste Festivals Ireland, which has been widely welcomed by restaurateurs, food professionals and lovers of great food. Taste of Dublin is a four-day celebration of fine food and drink. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens, twenty two of the capital’s most prestigious restaurants and celebrated chefs will be serving sample-sized signature dishes to our sophisticated foodies this summer.Bringing unparalleled culinary experience to over 35,000 visitors, the very best in speciality food and drink companies will also showcase alongside these outstanding restaurants, naturally bringing their Michelin stars with them.
Taste of Dublin takes place on the 12th to 15th June in the splendid setting of the Iveagh Gardens.
Did I like it last year??? Not really. There wasn't enough space, I found it overpriced and I made the mistake going by myself...I bet it is a lot nicer with a bunch of girls and since we know how to have fun in Cork....it will be worth going this year...;-)

I'll be happily missing this year's taste of Dublin. Completely agree with you, overpriced and overcrowded.

The wine was good though. I went to a wine tasting in the O'Briens tent.
