I have been very busy this week and didn't have time to post any new blogs. Anyway, here are a few foodie news for you:

  • Spar Express has opened its door yesterday in Togher. The reason it is mentioned here is that they have a Kitsu Noodle Bar.
  • Brennans finished their first week of the kids summer camp. Next course starts Monday (you can choose between morning and afternoon classes). I took my 2 nieces last year for a Saturday morning and they loved it. Call 021/4278283 for booking and more information.
  • Slowfood has a new convivium in Bantry (the launch was already in April). Check out their website for upcoming events

....and please no slagging about Germany loosing last night against Croatia.... had enough of that already this morning at work ;-)

Wishing you all a great weekend.

Elke, Elke, what is more worrying ,then the loss of our team, is the fact that the irish people voted NO to Europe.

Are the results already published??? Haven't listened to the radio yet. In our defense, the whole affair was a bit confusing as no politician who has been asked could actually explain to the public what the Lisbon treaty was all about. I didn't vote as I am not registered as a voter (have to change that actually)but most of my friends didn't really know what to do and voted No simply for that reason. The No was not towards Europe as I think Ireland has been very open to changes implemented by Brussels and have proved that in the past. Anyway, sit back with a lovely glass of wine from Georg Breuer ;-)and have a great weekend.

I will have a 2007 Fritz Haag Spätlese "Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr" with 7,5%.

Some Mosel-Experts are totally enthusiastic about this Riesling, so I am curious.

Have a great week-end, too
