Corte Majoli Valpolicella

We had a BBQ last Saturday and Jan brought a lovely bottle of Corte Majoli Valpolicella...and I made the mistake of opening it there and then and to offer it to the guests......instead of keeping it to myself and enjoy it all by my lonesomeness....a dark ruby red welcomes you with a bouquet that reminds you of late summers in Italy. Produced in Verona - a mixture of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, the wine is stored 12 months in oak barrels before being bottled for at least 6 months before being sold. A velvety smooth finish after spicy cherry flavours......a pity Jan forgot where he got the wine....this wine got the potential of becoming one of my favourites. Let me know if you come across it :-)
